MPs will soon be asked to vote on whether to approve expansion at Heathrow. As an MP who is PRO expansion, I have written to Michael Gove MP to ask him to explain how he plans to address some of the big unanswered questions. If MPs blindly vote yes - then we shall have years of challenge and cost and it will be for the courts to overturn the decision as was the case when Gordon Brown approved expansion. I URGE YOU TO EMAIL YOUR MP IF YOU ARE DISSATISFIED WITH THE SITUATION. OUR MPs NEED TO HEAR FROM CONSTITUENTS DIRECTLY!
It can be a simple question such as :
who will pay (did you know Government is risking us paying costs whether Heathrow is built or not?
how will noise be reduced (given the current noise issues for many)?
how will emission targets be met (these are currently breached)
It's now or never. We can't complain if we stood by and did nothing to oppose a further 260,000 planes a year!
